Breech

text message

Such good news, but true story, this baby made me sweat it a bit, and then surprised us all!

This sweet momma was referred to us by another fantastic practitioner in town because her sweet babe was still hanging out in a breech position at 35 weeks.

During her intake we talked through her questions and concerns about chiropractic, and how we can potentially help with positioning situations like this.

Besides babe hanging out in a breech position, she also has had very painful pubic bone pain, and this is a red flag for us with patients because it indicates external imbalances for mom, in addition to making it hard to enjoy her pregnancy and get good sleep. Which is imperative we help our pregnant mommas get before babe comes.

What we know is that mom's external balance affects her internal balance (ie the baby's house/uterus), and when we can work to bring balance and pain relief to mom's external structure, we create the space that allows the baby to move if it's right for them. .
At her last visit (the morning her baby was born), we talked about the timeline her practitioner had given her for decisions for a trial of an ECV (if mom chose that), and for a cesarean and I could tell that mom was starting to feel like that's the direction we were headed.

And then baby boy surprised all of is and came early, HEAD DOWN and VAGINALLY!

Please, please, please--if you have pregnant friends that are in discomfort, can you please send them this? When mom is in pain externally, we know her internal alignment isn't optimal--JUST HEAD DOWN DOESN'T ALWAYS MEAN OPTIMAL (I'm sorry for shouting 😬) -and we can help them.
1) feel better and
2) allow their bodies to allow their babies to get into their right position for them. ❤❤❤
