Toddler Meals
What does Leland eat???
There isn't a day that goes by that I don't have a patient ask me what I feed Leland, so here is a close up of what he's eating for lunch today. He usually eats what we are eating or leftovers from what I cooked the previous day (helps us eat healthy if I know I'll be feeding it to him. Double win).
So, tiny man's menu is as follows:
-Avocado 🥑-he'll usually eat a half of one
-Chicken 🍗-leftover from our chicken curry I cooked for dinner last night. We normally stick to thighs, but breasts were on sale.
-Oranges 🍊-he's a freak for them
-Sauerkraut-yep, he eats a little pile of sauerkraut each day for the probiotics.
We don't follow any specific guidelines, but I have studied baby led weaning (BLW), Weston A Price Foundation (WAPF), Nourishing Traditions and a few others. We stick to gluten and dairy free which is out of choice at this point, as he hasn't shown any issues with allergies, but we keep him on it as a nutritional choice. We also pay very close attention to food quality and try and stick with organic and local farms as much as possible, but it's not always the case.
I'd love to hear what you all feed your toddlers as I feel like I can always use new ideas. Take a picture and let us know!
