Uncomfortable Tummys
Can we talk MSPI, reflux, cranky babies 👶🏼👶🏽👶🏻from uncomfortable tummys?
It can be exhausting 😴having a new babe, but when you add on top of it digestive issues it can be down right maddening. I know first hand how hard having a new babe can be. It's one of the very best parts of my jobs that I get to help families ease into life with their new babes. Hopefully taking as much stress out of the transition as I possibly can.
Did you know that chiropractic can help mini tummys feel better, and experience less discomfort?
Our ability to digest our food is directly related to our ability to be in a relaxed state. When babies are uncomfortable, this increases the flight or fight system their nervous system--moving further away from good digestion. For instance, if we were running from a tiger 🐅, our body wouldn't spend energy digesting our food. Once you escape, and relax, your body could go back to spending resources to digest it. By adjusting baby, decreasing discomfort, we help baby move away from the flight or fight scenario, their digestive system can function optimally.
By doing this, we help get babe's nervous system and tummy in the beat possible state to help navigate intolerances, reflux, etc, and help them overcome it faster.
Besides helping to balance their nervous system via spinal exam and gentle adjustments, we also do an exam of the abdomen. On Friday I'll share a simple, but specific massage that you can do daily to help baby.
